Types of Materials

Below is a small sample of the aggregate we can deliver to your site. Dirt Rocks is not limited to any type of aggregate materials. We have hundreds of locations from which we can supply your site. So whether you need DOT Approved Base, 57 Stone, Concrete Sand, Rip Rap or any other aggregate material, Dirt Rocks can supply your needs On Time Every time

State Approved Base

Depending on the state materials are to be used we offer State approved base material that meet the various specifications and types.

Select Fill/Structural Fill

Low Plasticity material for foundations and fill. Used for raising elevations or replacing high clay soils.

Concrete Agg 1" ( 57 Stone)

1" clean crushed hardrock material. Used for topping rock, drainage rock and decorative stone. When hard enough it can be used for ready mix applications.

Pipeline Sand

Low Plasticity material for foundations and fill. Used for raising elevations or replacing high clay soils.

Top Soil

Depending on pit location this can range from a sandy loam, rich black dirt, desert topsoil and screened enriched soils.

Pea Gravel

3/8" River Rock used for ready mix grouts, utility installation, Fuel tank installations and filter stone.

1" Smooth River Rock

Can be used for ready-mix aggregate, landscape rock and drainage applications.

3 X 5 (BullRock)

Often used for construction entrances, erosion abatement and a subbase in very wet conditions.

Commercial Base

Often used as an alternate to state approved base if not required. Usually at a lessor cost than State Approved Base still used in many applications such as energy projects or parking lots.

Caliche

Pit run or possibly crushed caliche can also be used on many energy projects, ranch roads or pad sites.

Crushed Concrete

An alternate material that is State approved in many cases. In areas where there is limited natural stone this is often a viable alternative. It also qualifies for LEED certification.

Asphalt Millings

A terrific topping for parking lots, ranch roads, campgrounds and more. Offers a dust free environment and handles rain well.

General Fill

We offer many types of general fill to fill in a hole or raise your site, this is usually your most cost-effective option.

Concrete Sand

A course sand that is used in the production of ready-mix. Can also be used under bulk storage tanks.

Cement Stabilized Sand

Used in utility work this is a combination of sand and Portland cement, this stabilizes backfill and manholes. Can also be used under paving.

Rip Rap

Armor Stone to Gabion baskets different sized larger rocks used for erosion control and shoreline stabilization

Haul Off

When the material on your site doesn’t balance and you need to get rid of the extra, we will haul it away and find a home for it if necessary.
